Job Description:
Under the direction of the Section SAC, the Special Agent
Supervisor (SAS) is responsible as the Division of Medi-Cal Fraud
and Elder Abuse (DMFEA) tactical training officer, the lead field
training officer and the DMFEA Investigations Section recruitment
and retention marshal. The SAS also serves as an aide-de-camp with
the Department's other law enforcement divisions and local, State,
and Federal law enforcement agencies.
Specific duties for the SAS include but are not limited to: plan,
organize and direct the DMFEA's firearms, defensive tactics, and
tactical training program, adhering to the Department's standards
and directives; monitor equipment life cycles and recommend
maintenance, and replacement schedules to ensure the latest
technology is utilized; develop training procedures and designate
tactics and techniques to be utilized during field enforcement
operations; present in-service training for DMFEA Investigations
Section personnel in firearms, and defensive tactics and tactical
maneuvers; monitor first aid/cardiopulmonary resuscitation
certification for all sworn staff; act as the naloxone coordinator,
providing training and management of inventory and reporting the
use to the appropriate agencies; lead the planning, best practices
and implementation of the Investigations Section recruitment and
retention efforts, while coordinating with the Department's Office
of Human Resources. The SAS will also lead the Field Training
Officer Program.
The SAS will represent DMFEA's executive staff and the Division by
engaging the Department's other law enforcement divisions and
local, State, and Federal Law enforcement agencies in areas of
mutual interest and assistance.

Working Conditions
Telework is available but is contingent on DMFEA's operational
needs. Telework requires California residency.
This position will require travel for recruitment efforts, meetings
and training.
