The Fab Production Manager will lead our fab operations team to
deliver state of the art MEMS probes safely, with exceptional
quality, and on time to schedule. The leader will drive total
output to plan, work to reduce cycle-times, and grow and train a
team to meet business growth. Will be responsible for leading a
workforce of more than 300 people by creating a culture of
ownership, responsibility, and mutual respect. The Fab production
manager is responsible for managing four a team of fab supervisors
in the Livermore factory who in turn each manage a team of
technicians in a cleanroom fab environment encompassing a 24/7
factory. Day-to-day activities include managing and executing to
the priorities within the fab, interfacing with planning to set fab
loadings, and working with engineering on tool and process issues.
The ideal candidate has a very strong communication skill set and
is an excellent collaborator/team builder with exceptional cross
functional capabilities. The candidate for this role must have
experience mentoring junior managers and building leaders within
their organization. This person must be able to manage multiple
tasks at once and be able to thrive in a fast paced, demanding high
tech environment. Having the ability to drive actions to closure,
anticipate events and engage at all levels across our organization
is critical. A high level of focus on customer needs, combined with
an uncompromising sense of quality is essential in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
* Ensure shifts and shift supervisors meet their safety, quality,
and output objectives.
* Respond to urgent requests, priorities, and customer
escalations
* Develop and execute training plans to maximize contribution,
alleviate factory constraints, build redundancy in capability and
improve technician productivity
* Owns production related activities over 4 (24/7) shifts and
outgoing quality assurance processes.
* Coordinates, tracks, and prioritizes production in line with the
company\s quality systems, processes, and procedures to ensure
production goals are attained.
* Collaborates with Human Resources regarding recruitment and
staffing of non-exempt employees to ensure recruiting,
interviewing, and hiring meet targets.
* Partners with HR to ensure performance management is maintained
across all shifts
* Collaborates with engineering and maintenance groups regarding
process and or equipment qualification, performance, and
maintenance.
* Responsible to ensure all Health and Safety rules and regulations
are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this
are in line with the companies Health and Safety policy.
Job Requirements:
* Knowledge and skills typically acquired by completing a BA or
equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years\ experience in wafer fab/ semiconductor
manufacturing Supervision or equivalent. Military
technical/leadership experience accepted.
* Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and
techniques
* Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing , lean principles, and
5S
* Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office Applications to
create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations
* Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing,
with all levels of the organization.
* Demonstrated problem solving skills, able to analyze data, create
various reports, and recommend corrective actions
* Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
* Flexible and able to prioritize
