We are an established veterinary hospital that started providing quality veterinary care to the families of the tri-valley area in 2012. We are excited to welcome a Registered Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to Arroyo Veterinary Center. Bring the drive to succeed and we will provide an environment to excel in. Our appointments are half-hour long and we are on a paper-light Cornerstone system. Qualified individual will be a confident and experienced Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician. Individual must have a strong background in (or be willing to be trained in) anesthesia, dental prophylaxis and radiography, pharmacology, radiology, client communication, laboratory procedures, patient handling & treatments, and working well in a team setting. Physical responsibilities require individual to stand on their feet for 8 hours a day, lift up to 50 pounds safely, manipulate body and extremities to restrain animals, retrieve supplies, and assist with procedures and treatments. Full-time benefits include: 401K with match, medical, dental, vision, disability, employee pet discounts and paid time off. Position is available as full-time (five, eight-hour shifts) and will require fairly consistent Saturday shifts (rotating). Flexibility in scheduling beyond that is a plus!
