classification.What Your Job Will Be LikeWe are seeking an
experienced R&D Electronics Technologist to join our Weapons
Subsystem 5 group, which is a multidisciplinary team designing and
developing advanced electronic subsystems. This group provides
solutions to technical challenges that directly support national
security. This is a highly collaborative work environment where
successful candidates will be skilled critical thinkers with the
ability to effectively partner with others to resolve complex and
challenging problems.On any given day, you may be called on to:
Build, modify, and repair a variety of electronic hardware, test
equipment, and cables Assist in conducting experiments, acquiring
data, and analyzing data Track hardware and maintain calibration of
test equipment Support environmental testing (e.g., temperature,
shock, vibration)Other responsibilities include: Ability to create
innovative solutions to difficult technical problems Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, including documentation of
test results and reports Ability to work in team-oriented
environment and work cooperatively with other internal
organizations and external production facilitiesApplicants on this

applicant must be able to work onsite.Salary Range$76,400 -
$147,000*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be
determined after consideration of the selected candidate's
experience and qualifications, and application of any approved
geographic salary differential.Qualifications We RequireHigh school
diploma plus three or more years of directly related experience, or
equivalent combination of education and experienceSignificant
soldering experience with fine pitch surface mount
componentsExperience in reading and understanding circuit diagram
schematicsExperience in a lab environment working with normal light
electronics lab equipment (e.g., scopes, DMMs, pulse generators,
etc.) to troubleshoot circuit boards and equipmentAbility to travel
up to 15% timeAbility to obtain a U.S. DOE Q-level security
clearanceQualifications We DesireAS degree in Electronics
Engineering Technology (EET) or similar technical field with at
least three years relevant experience or equivalent combination of
education and experienceIPC Solder CertificationExperience
performing assembly and inspection of Electronic
AssembliesExperience with schematic capture and PCB layout software
(Mentor DxDesigner/Xpedition, Altium Designer, EAGLE)Active DOE Q

supports the United States nuclear deterrent by developing advanced
electronics component designs for new systems, stewarding deployed
systems, and maturing technologies and concepts for future systems.
Weapon Subsystems has responsibility for all aspects of
development, including: conceptual design, prototype development
and testing, qualifying the design meets requirements, and
transitioning production work to DOE production agencies. Work is
performed by multidisciplinary teams of electrical engineers,
mechanical engineers, and technologists, in partnership with
project management, quality engineers, and reliability engineers.

confidence, quality, and reliability.Posting DurationThis posting
