This position will support the Payroll department at an industry leader with a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. In order to successfully perform as part of this dynamic, fast-growing team, a candidate will need to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Livermore, California area and is a short-term contract / temporary to hire employment role.

Key responsibilities

- Collect and enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

- Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

- Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices

- Manage communications with employees on timesheet approvals

- Distribute and administer reports as instructed

- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

- Configure custom reports
