Job Description:
Objective of job:
Responsible for developing and maintaining plant quality operations
processesResponsible for development and management of direct
reports
Principal Activities:
Cooperates as subject matter expert for Quality Operations group in
developing long-term strategy of Plant Quality department and
assures implementationCreates and coordinates short-, mid-, and
long-term budget and headcount planning for Quality Operations
group based on strategic and operative goals of the organizational
area and assures complianceProvides technical and disciplinary
leadership to associates in Quality Operations group as well as
cross-functional technical leadership as subject matter expert on
Quality Systems and processes when applicableImplements guidelines,
processes and systems for Plant Quality department and communicates
/ distributes to other departments as necessary Develops and
maintains Quality Training program for associates in cooperation
with other plant functions ensuring fundamental quality concepts,
best practices, and tools are understood and utilized by
employeesProvides expertise to the organization and customizes
quality best practices / tools to fit needs of the Plant
organizationPromotes and demonstrates a culture of quality and
continuous improvement through structured use of quality tools and
problem solving methodologiesResponsible for administration of
Plant QMS processes and monitoring to ensure conformance of product
and processes in accordance with relevant documentation (product
audits, MRB, APQP, LPA's, FRB, DRX Ideas, etc.)Ensures quality
control processes are carried out properly per the required
documentation, frequencies and methods (gauging, inspection,
testing and validation, etc.)Ensures communication / reporting of
problems identified through QMS and quality control processes is
executedSupports as lead for Quality Operations and gathers
necessary information/teams in preparation and during
internal/external/customer audits to maintain necessary
certificationsResponsible for driving analysis and definition of
corrective and preventative actions in event of audit findings and
ensures timely input of informations to audit departmentEnsures
necessary relevant KPI's are developed, tracked, and reported at
necessary levels of plant and executive management in cooperation
with Plant and Corporate functions
Leads, coaches, supervises, and motivates direct reports to ensure
proper training and performance based on existing processes,
policies, and targetsManages day to day activities of Quality
Operations teamIdentifies opportunities for continuous improvement
in processes and/or products and actively participates in
implementation of corrective actions to achieve improvements where
applicablePerforms any other tasks or assignments not listed within
this job description as deemed necessary for the department /
company as requested by the department managerOthers:Actively
participate in all the activities and programs of the company
(Quality, Ideas for Improvement, Training, Human Resources, Safety,
Hygiene and Environment etc.) that apply according to the
activities of the positionThe activities listed here are indicative

Job Requirements:
Bachelors DegreeAutomotive Industry ExperienceQuality
Certifications (Preferred - ASQ, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)Leadership
