Job ID: 6603Position Description: Ryerson Livermore is looking for Customer Engagement Specialist to join our sales team in the Northern California market. This role will be responsible for maintaining and growing our business with established customers and growing transactional business from current or not recently sold assigned customers in the Livermore marketplace. This position fits well for those candidates with a strong sheet, coil, bar, pipe, and tube sales background in all products; value added sales experience also a plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the sales and customer service activities with the OSR in that market. This position is a growth opportunity which involves daily interaction and with customers. Clear communication is the key factors to customer growth. This position requires strong self management skills and reports to the Customer Engagementl Manager of Sales. Roles & Responsibilities -- - - Quickly builds strong relationships with contacts at all levels across a variety of functions within customer organizations but especially with purchasing decision makers; develops customer trust and confidence in Ryerson and its representatives -- - - Succeeds by understanding the goals and concepts of our business and incorporating these goals daily to achieve sales and profitability targets -- - - Works closely with our outside sales team, credit center, inventory managers, and other departments within the company to creatively achieve both company and customer objectives -- - - Keeps customers informed about industry and economic trends and Ryerson's ability to assist customers in adapting to change -- - - Understands and monitors the competitive environment and provides market intelligence to sales management to help shape service center sales strategies, price levels and working capital decisions -- - - Promotes Ryerson's E-Commerce capabilities and other strategic initiatives -- - - Develops business relationships with customers to achieve market growth -- - - Coordinates the activities of various departments to ensure appropriate overall account management and customer's requirements are met -- - - Consistently manages daily call planning and executionPosition Requirements: -- --- - --- -Bachelor's degree preferred -- --- - --- - Prior customer experience, sales, hospitality, retail or industry experience is preferred -- --- - --- - Desire to learn about metals, its products and the industries Ryerson supports -- --- - --- - Excellent professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required -- --- - --- - Proficiency within Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) required -- --- - --- - Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment -- --- - --- - Positive attitude, competitive, goal-oriented, driven with a passion to excel -- --- - --- - Flexible and solutions-oriented -- --- - --- - High degree of business ethics We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.Job Requirements:.
