Mechanical Stress / Fatigue Engineer in Livermore ,
Under general direction, you will develop new or modified laser
peening processes, define processing or handling equipment
requirements and specifications, and review processing techniques
and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation
of products. The objective is this position is to improve quality,
increase efficiency and reduce cost of new and existing products;
involvement may begin at any step from ideation to full-scale
You will establish design requirements with
engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of
processing methods. You will be required to compile and evaluate
test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process
or material specifications. You may also conceive and plan projects
involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment
automation technology, and approaches in the processing or
development of new or improved processes.
Location: Livermore, CA
Perform various analysis, design and/or assembly related to
product design, manufacturing, software or hardware engineering
Define, interpret and develop quality standards for receiving,
in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and
Investigate and analyze a variety of technical manufacturing and
customer issues providing technical assistance in establishing
procedures and methods.
Review and evaluate complex in-process rejections and trends
implementing corrective action as needed.
Review and evaluate a variety of routine and semi-routine
in-process rejections and trends implementing corrective action as
needed. Interfaces with customers, vendors and all company
departments to resolve technical and quality problems.
Perform technical surveillance of a semi-routine nature in the
control of product, design concepts, software and specification
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, or other
relevant engineering discipline.
Experience in mechanical testing and material analysis
Experience in stress analysis (FEA)
Experience in MATLAB
Willingness to take initiative and contribute as a
cross-functional team member.
Understanding of project management with strong analytical
skills and interpersonal skills
Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project,
