Job Description:
At Zoox, our Logistics team is dedicated to ensuring seamless,
scalable, and efficient processes that enable the timely delivery
of components critical to vehicle manufacturing and service
operations. We value collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to
operational excellence. This role provides the opportunity to lead
transformative logistics programs at the intersection of
engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, directly supporting
the transition from R&D and pilot builds into high-volume
automotive production. You will be part of a passionate team
building and standardizing logistics systems that ensure readiness
for scale while driving continuous improvement across inbound,
warehouse, and outbound operations. Our culture thrives on
openness, shared learning, and supportive risk-taking while
striving to make cities safer, smarter, and more sustainable. This
role offers significant leadership, ownership, and professional
growth opportunities in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. In
this role, you will: Drive cross-functional teams to achieve
production ramp and logistics readiness, translating engineering
designs, supply chain plans, and warehouse concepts into scalable
material flow and logistics operations. Drive resolution for
day-to-day logistics and material flow issues, escalating
roadblocks as necessary, and ensuring strong cross-functional
alignment. Establish critical logistics performance metrics to
monitor material availability and logistics performance, and
deliver regular updates to stakeholders to maintain visibility and
alignment. Define and manage logistics processes and operating
procedures to ensure all teams clearly understand deliverables,
timelines, and risks, enabling clear cross-functional communication
and execution across sites. Support vehicle production from initial
concept and prototyping through to final, high-volume
manufacturing. Requires regular travel between Bay Area facilities,
alongside 10–20% nationwide travel to additional Zoox sites to
oversee initiatives and support regional logistics operations.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering,
Supply Chain, or a related field, with 5 years of TPM, logistics,
or manufacturing experience in high-scale industries (e.g.,
automotive, aerospace, electronics). Proven expertise in leading
complex, cross-functional logistics programs from design through
implementation, can manage schedules, track milestones, and
mitigate risks. Strong track record of driving organizational
change and adopting new standards, backed by exceptional
communication and stakeholder management skills to align and
influence teams at all levels. Robust analytical capabilities with
practical experience in process mapping, defining KPIs, and
building operational dashboards to monitor performance and solve
complex operational challenges. Bonus Qualifications: Master’s
degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics, in addition to
professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Lean, or Six Sigma.
Deep knowledge of warehouse optimization, material flow, logistics
engineering, and lean manufacturing principles, paired with
hands-on experience using ERP and WMS platforms (e.g., SAP). Strong
technical ability using SQL, Python, or simulation tools to drive
optimizations and support data-driven decision-making.
Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse safety and quality standards,
including EHS guidelines, OSHA regulations, ISO 9001, and IATF
16949 requirements. $163,000 - $196,000 a year Base Salary Range
