Job Description:
Job Title: Scrum Master/Project ManagerPosition Purpose:The
Information Technology Department has an opening for a Project
Manager/Scrum Master, Manufacturing. This position is located in
Pleasanton, California.The role is responsible for planning,
execution of initiatives and projects for the respective business
partners including efforts related to the recent Safeway-Albertsons
merger and new initiatives. The Project Manager/Scrum Master role
plans, manages and tracks the required work and budget for the
execution of projects. The Project Manager/Scrum Master will work
closely with the IT Director/Sr. Manager and lead a distributed
team across multiple locations. This role will also work directly
with business stakeholders based across the US.Organizing,
supporting, enabling and facilitating a highly talented
cross-functional agile team to deliver IT solutions. Work with
Scrum Masters, Product owners, executives, and PMOs. Help enable
and facilitate transformation, knowledge transfer, and introduce
best practices. Has a good appreciation of an industry and its
business requirements and its use of IT. Maintains an awareness of
industry trends and its application of IT. Advises on general
requirements and trends of Agile techniques and methods. Obtains
relevant information to solve problems. Identifies conflicting
priorities, frames and escalate issues that cannot be resolved
quickly. 5-9 years of experienceKey Responsibilities include, but
are not limited to:--- Hands-on management and delivery of multiple
complex projects at any given time to meet technology and business
requirements on time and within budget--- Organize and facilitate
Agile activities and ceremonies including daily stand-up meetings,
sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and
product backlog refinement sessions.--- Providing Scrum team
statistics, identifying project dependencies, team capacity,
velocity forecasts, burndowns/burn-ups, dashboards, user stories,
etc.--- Provide strong leadership & accountability for the
development and delivery of Project Management needed to support
business solutions, technical delivery, escalations and impact
assessment--- Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and
principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and
authority, make the tough calls.--- Participate in
tactical/strategic planning surrounding cross-portfolio programs
and deployment of ERP programs across multiple manufacturing
facilities and warehouses--- Executing and successfully completing
projects within the agreed threshold levels for schedule and cost
variance--- Foster a strong work environment that rewards
individual and team efforts; encourages creativity while
maintaining high caliber productivity and quality; mitigates team
conflict and communication problems--- Refine and improve existing
Project Management and Agile best practices, including the adoption
of industry standard tools, technologies, and
methodologiesQualifications:--- 4-year degree (Information Systems,
Computer Science, Business Administration or relational functional
field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work
experience--- 6+ years as a Project Manager/Scrum Master for
software development projects with demonstrated evidence of
increasing growth and responsibility--- Certified Scrum Master
(CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is highly
preferred.--- Expertise in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
principles; SAFe certification(s) are highly preferred.--- Project
Management Professional (PMP) Certification or related is a plus;
MBA a plus--- Must have a thorough understanding of backlog
tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition--- Strong
skills in project planning, budget estimation and management,
resource planning and assessment, financial planning and risk
assessment--- Responsible for developing and maintaining complete
integrated project plan/schedule for IT, business and vendor---
Strong knowledge of Project Management Methodology, tools and
techniques--- Proficient in using core PM tools including Microsoft
Project Enterprise, Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Office
Professional (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc.)--- Strong
ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships
and manage effectively in a matrix organization--- Demonstrated
ability to motivate, coach, counsel and train managers and staff---
Previous experience managing and deploying Supply Chain and
Manufacturing applications will be considered an asset
