Job Description Job Description Primary Job Title: Phlebotomist Alternate Job Titles: Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) Clinical Phlebotomy Technician Laboratory Specimen Collector Patient Service Center Phlebotomist Location: Marysville, Michigan Onsite Position Position Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 Months Start: As Soon As Possible Shift/Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST Job Summary The Phlebotomist (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, delivering exceptional patient care while performing accurate and safe blood specimen collection and processing . This role requires direct patient interaction and a strong commitment to confidentiality, procedural compliance, and service excellence. The PSR II supports physician offices, Patient Service Centers, and other assigned locations as business needs dictate, maintaining a professional and patient-focused environment at all times. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures Draw blood specimens including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Verify patient demographic information and obtain required patient signatures post-venipuncture Ensure proper specimen labeling in the patient’s presence Maintain accurate records and required documentation Travel to multiple Patient Service Center and in-office locations as needed Maintain a safe, compliant, and professional work environment Demonstrate strong customer focus and effective communication with patients and staff Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED) 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable) Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Keyboard/data entry experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Medical assistant or paramedic training Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in MI) 2 years of Patient Service Center experience Retail or service industry customer service experience Work Environment & Expectations Onsite position in Marysville, MI Flexible scheduling may include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime Training location may vary based on trainer availability Must comply with company policies, dress code, safety standards, and confidentiality guidelines Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About the Company A leading provider of diagnostic information services , leveraging one of the world’s largest clinical laboratory databases to deliver actionable health insights.
