Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Redwood City, CA at an outpatient clinic where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. Apply now and a recruiter will reach out with more details. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active California Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. No new graduates. Minimum recent clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy required. Experience evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and documenting per clinic and payer requirements. Experience with outpatient EMR documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry preferred. Ability to supervise and delegate to therapy assistants and to participate in student instruction is preferred. Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education as required by the California Practice Act. Assignment Details Facility type: Outpatient clinic. Shift pattern: 5x8. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Floating: Candidate may be asked to float to other facilities as needed. Assignment duration: 13 week engagement. Standard Job Description Evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals and physician direction. Delegates and directs discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. Designs functional treatment programs to support return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students and coworkers. Completes medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate and timely manner, inclusive of goal writing, functional quality indicators, letters of medical necessity and charge entry. Ensures care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as indicated. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the organization’s mission and core values. Maintains confidentiality of patient and company information. Upholds professional standards and applicable codes of conduct. Promotes patient and employee safety including safe patient handling, materials handling, infection prevention, and slip/trip/fall prevention.
