Roles & Responsibilities Provide clinical oversight for the Occupational Therapy department, ensuring high-quality patient care Supervise and mentor Occupational Therapy staff including direct supervision of COTAs and Rehabilitation Technicians Coordinate and lead clinical education and competency processes to keep the team current and confident Evaluate and treat patients (approximately 80% clinical time) using evidence-based OT practices Develop, review, and maintain OT policies and procedures covering scope of care, evaluation/treatment standards, and discharge planning Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to state practice acts and professional standards Oversee documentation practices and discharge planning to promote continuity of care and successful patient outcomes Contribute to program development and administrative tasks (approximately 20% of the role) to grow service offerings Qualifications Current, active Occupational Therapy license in the State of California (Board of Medical Quality Assurance) required Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) required Experience supervising COTAs and rehabilitation support staff; strong leadership and teaching abilities Knowledge of state practice act requirements and clinical regulatory compliance Preferred: Member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Strong clinical evaluation and treatment skills with excellent documentation and discharge planning experience Education Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Knowledge & Skills Clinical evaluation and treatment planning for a diverse patient population Regulatory compliance and familiarity with state OT practice standards Clinical education, competency assessment, and staff development Policy and procedure development and implementation Strong documentation practices and discharge planning coordination Effective leadership, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage to keep you healthy and focused Paid time off so you can recharge and come back inspired Licensure assistance and reimbursement to support your professional growth Professional development and clinical education opportunities to sharpen your skills A supportive team environment where your leadership and clinical voice matter Opportunities for career advancement and meaningful program development work Work-life balance emphasis with predictable day shifts Employee resources and peer mentorship so you never feel alone in tough cases Travel Perks: Explore King City, CA Explore nearby outdoor gems like Pinnacles National Park for hiking and rock formations, enjoy coastal day trips to Monterey and Carmel, and sample local wine country flavors in Paso Robles.
