Occupational Therapist Location: Oakland, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,859 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of neuro experience is required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in inpatient acute care settings - Neuro experience required - Strong skills in evaluating and treating complex patient populations Description: The role involves working as an inpatient acute rehabilitation occupational therapist. You will be part of a large and dynamic team. The patient population will be complex and may include individuals recovering from CVA, brain injury, spinal cord injury, cancer rehabilitation, and complex orthopedic conditions. Candidates should possess experience in acute care settings, particularly with neuro patients. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating plans of care, and delivering therapeutic interventions. You will engage in active patient and family education concerning rehabilitation and safety. This position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and speech-language pathologists. Daily patient census will range between 7 to 10 individuals. You will be expected to maintain documentation following the charting system. Additional skills in adaptive equipment assessment and cognitive assessment are essential. Flexibility to manage varying caseloads and patient needs is necessary. A commitment to rehabilitation excellence and patient-centered care is expected.
