Minimum of 1 year of experience in the relevant specialty required.
License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience, experience with Epic
charting system, and specific skills related to PACU nursing.
Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Post Anesthesia
Care Unit. This role requires management of patients recovering
from anesthesia. The nurse will assess, monitor, and provide care
post-operatively. The ideal candidate should demonstrate effective
communication skills. The role includes monitoring vital signs and
recognizing dysrhythmias. The nurse will administer medications as
per protocols. Experience with various surgical procedures is
essential. The position requires flexibility to float to
preoperative and recovery areas as needed. The nurse will be
involved in discharge planning and education for patients.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is a key component of
the role. Candidates should be willing to work weekends and
holidays as required. A commitment to patient-centered care and
safety is essential. The nurse should have skills in managing
intravenous therapy and obtain lab values. Knowledge of specific
surgical procedures and postoperative care is necessary. The
ability to provide comprehensive assessments and manage complex
