ICU/Critical Care RN in Woodland, California, 95695! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU
(Intensive Care Unit) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours
per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: 2 years of ICU
experience Description: Candidates must have experience in a
medical ICU setting. They will float to other facilities and may be
required to assist in the Med-Surg unit. The ICU has an 8-bed
capacity. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:1 to 1:2. Candidates are
required to read and interpret EKG strips. Ventilator management
experience is necessary. There will be both charge nurse
responsibilities and nurse aide support, depending on staffing and
census needs. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend,
with holiday rotations as per core staff scheduling. Scrub colors
should be navy, with undershirts in navy, white, or black. Optional
scrub jackets should also be navy-colored. The shift hours will
begin at 7 PM and conclude at 7:30 AM. Report will be conducted at
the bedside. Self-scheduling is utilized, and schedules are
available four weeks in advance. Travelers will have access to
their schedules from home and can indicate availability for extra
shifts and make trades with other staff. Common diagnoses include
primarily medical ICU conditions. The department layout is a
horseshoe design, providing a conducive environment for nursing
staff. Cancellation policy allows for up to four shift
cancellations per 13-week assignment. Experience with rapid
