The requirement also applies to those who are telecommuting and working virtually.Any concerns about the ability to meet this requirement should be directed to HR Solutions at (505) 284-4700.What Your Job Will Be LikeWe are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team.On any given day, you may be called on to: Complete administrative services, such as scheduling appointments and answering department telephones, documenting charts, and inventorying medical supplies and medications. Provide back up support to other department functions when needed Work on special department projects as assigned by the Nurse Coordinator or Department Manager Use EHR systems (Allscripts) Perform various patient care tasks, such as: collect urine specimen samples; perform breath alcohol testing; perform blood draws; collect and enter vitals; check in, room, and check out patients, perform audiograms, spiromety, administer injections, and COVID testing. Assist providers as needed Qualifications We Require High school diploma plus 5 or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Three or more years of experience working in a clinic or hospital Expereince with common office software, such as Microsoft Office Experience scheduling and checking in patients, rooming patients, taking vital signs, and administering injections Experience using EHR systems, such as Allscripts. Ability to obtain a Phlebotomy certification in the State of California M.A. certification in the State of California Ability to obtain and maintain an L-level security clearance Qualifications We Desire Proficient using Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) Superior customer service skills via telephone and in person Associate's degree in relevant field Two or more years of experience in occupational medicine Certified drug tester or experience collecting and handling drug tests Experience performing audiograms, spirometry, and breath alcohol tests.
