Job Responsibilities

The Sr. Strategic Commodity Manager is part of the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) organization and will interface between Lam product teams and industry suppliers that provide core component technologies. In this position you will play a vital role managing suppliers in the Gas Box, Fluid Delivery commodity space by working across organizations to formulate and execute commodity strategies, align development deliverables, negotiate contracts and agreements, benchmark suppliers, and resolve delivery, cost and production challenges. This includes aligning resources, prioritizing strategies, establishing targets, and implementing growth and cost initiatives that support the broader business strategy.

The Sr. Strategic Commodity Manager resides within the Global Operations Supply Chain organization and reports to the Director of Gas Box Delivery. This person will collaborate with the Executive management team, Supply Chain Executives, and Product Group Executives.

Other Job Responsibilities

* Develop a 3-year vision, strategy and organizational structure for assigned commodities. The strategy should enhance competitive differentiation and address commodity availability, quality and cost. (Your focus area will be managing Remote factories and OEM suppliers for Fluid delivery)

* You, and through collaboration with others, will be responsible for architecting and delivering a complete end to end strategy that supports Lam's 3-year horizon

* Execute the vision and implement the strategy by gaining executive alignment and motivating and engaging the workforce to fulfill the vision.

* Lead sourcing negotiations.

* Prepare and analyse cost models associated with mulitple configurations and supply channels for Gas Boxes.

* Drive business processes that enable effective prioritization and facilitate faster customer solutions.

* Provide inspired leadership and direction to the global supply chain organization. Continue to build and develop a world class team in an environment where successful people want to work.

* Instill a culture of quality and discipline into all of our suppliers.

* Develop and execute the optimum geographic distribution of the organization to get the desired results most effectively.

* Manage supplier relationships to deliver negotiated value

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business, or Engineering; MBA or equivalent post graduate degree is a plus.

* 10 years of experience in a similar role.

* Has worked in a role within a global matrix, multi-site company with manufacturing and supplier operations spread over multiple continents with at least $1 billion in revenue.

* Has extensive experience interfacing with customers and suppliers and managing these relationships on product issue identification, problem resolution and total experience.

* Demonstrated business orientation and proactive leadership that identifies and anticipates problems, issues, and risks to a project outcomes and manages those issue in advance of a critical situation

* Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and leadership across the globe.

Preferred Qualifications

* MBA or post graduate degree in Supply Chain Management

* 7 years experience in the semiconductor industry
