Job Description:
Job PurposeThe Project Engineer's role is to lead the successful
execution of customer projects, from initial proposal to delivery
of the finished product. Responsible for overseeing the cost
estimation process, developing and implementing cost control
strategies, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely
and successful completion within budget.Principal Duties and
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Manage and Oversee Projects: Oversee the planning, execution,
and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they align with
scope, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Act as a liaison between engineering,
manufacturing, procurement, and clients to ensure project
requirements and specifications are met effectively.
- Technical Documentation and Review: Prepare, review, and
validate technical project documentation, including drawings,
specifications, and bills of materials, ensuring compliance with
company and industry standards.
- Cost and Resource Management: Develop project budgets and
resource allocation plans. Regularly analyze cost estimates to
maintain financial efficiency.
- Scheduling and Progress Tracking: Create, update, and maintain
detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and
progress is communicated to stakeholders.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential project
risks and implement strategies to minimize impact.
- Support System Integration: Oversee the integration and testing
of systems, ensuring alignment with client specifications and
operational needs.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Resolve technical
challenges, address client concerns, and implement corrective
actions promptly to ensure project success.
- Follow Change Management procedures (ECRs / ECOs), for tracking
and implementation of changes.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and refine engineering
processes, tools, and best practices to enhance project efficiency
and quality.
- Client Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships
with clients, providing regular updates and technical support
throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to
junior engineers and project team members to foster skill
development and knowledge sharing.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure all projects comply with
relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company
policies.
- Other Duties as Required: Take on additional responsibilities
as needed to support the organization's goals and project
success.Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
- A 4-year degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical /
Industrial preferred)
- Min. 2 years in project coordination.
- Ability to multi-task and to quickly adapt to a changing
environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical
documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.)
- Experience managing teams, projects, and budgets.
- Strong customer service and vendor management skills.Preferred:
- Experience with Semiconductor industry specific requirements
(SEMI S2)
- Experience with Industrial Control Panels (UL508)
