  About this Role:
  The Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) of the MAGI Financial Eligibility Unit in the Policy Development Branch (PDB), Medi-Cal Eligibility Division (MCED), manages a staff of analysts responsible for Medi-Cal Programs, including financial eligibility rules for MAGI determinations, Medi-Cal overpayments, Authorized Representatives, and annual Federal Poverty Limits updates. Responsibilities include supervising administrative and analytical tasks, leading county workgroups, analyzing legislation, and writing regulations.
  The SSM I collaborates with experts and staff across various agencies and systems, develops policies, trains staff, represents the program publicly, and prepares procedural and policy documents. In-state travel, including overnight stays, may be required up to five percent of the time.
